Many of the themes in photography come from expressing the world as we actually see it. But to the abstract expressionist, the world may be represented in emotion, feeling, and action. He tended to use the film as a canvas and light as his brushes. He preached the flatness of the medium, striving to capture true emotion from the essence of the objects he photographed.

Grounded within a collage aesthetic, the history of my work is in installation, site-specific sculpture, and performance. Process is crucial in exploring material, method, and meaning and often leads to unexpected places. Kunstforeningens svar på Wenche Foss. Bildet er fra jubileumsfestens neoimpresjonistiske fase. Nesodden Kunstforening har hvert år en amatørutstilling for foreningens egne medlemmer. Uten forkleinelse for de profesjonelle kunstnerne som ellers slipper til, er amatørutstillingene blant de mest besøkte. Dessuten er det jo noen av dem som tar spranget over i de profesjonelles rekker. Under amatørutstillingen i 2007 falt jeg blant annet for Inger Lise Knutsens fine krukker.

Galleriet slog dørene op i 2007, og har de sidste 4 år koncentreret sig om Hanne Varmings virke. Datter af Hanne Varming, Karen Margrethe Varming sælger skulpturerne og arrangerer udstillinger, sidst en større vandre udstilling, der var på Kastrupgårdsamlingen, Ribe og Hjørring. I 2018 forebereder vi en større udstilling der starter i Møstingshus,. I anledning af Hanne Varming fylder 80 år i maj 2019.
